Death's Vacation part 1

Death's Vacation

This is loosely based on Terry Pratchett's version of Death. You may or may not see other characters from Discworld in here (depending on who I feel inspired to create) but even if you don't know these books, you're probably going to enjoy the silly antics that take place here.

Death considered the situation. He'd never had to reap other reapers before, the idea was ridiculous. He was Death itself, he had been since time began and life existed to eventually bite it. He was a concept, not a being, he did not have life and therefore could not die. But here lay another death, a little death, curled up at his feet having died of starvation.

Starvation! The very idea of it.

"HEEEY good buddy, ya wanna Sims U tshirt?!" hollered an uncharacteristically cheerful man in a ridiculous llama costume.

Very slowly, an idea formed in Death's mind. Perhaps it was time for a break.

Death took Binky with him when he left on his sabbatical. He had every right to, it was his horse and Binky enjoyed the exercise that globe trotting presented. Having secured a cozy cottage for a few days in Scandinavia, Death saw about making Binky comfortable.

Death’s first stop on his vacation is Geothermal Lakes. It’s a really pretty world but it’s mostly empty from the start so I found anything that might look like it fits and crammed it in. Some lots might look funny lol.

“What are you watching?” Quothe the raven asked.

HUMANS CALL IT TELEVISION

“No, what program is on?”

BAHAMA MAMA.

Outside, Binky wanders around and grazes. Fully saddled, because my dumb ass never thought to look to see if you could change a horse's outfit in Master Controller. Of course you can. I'm a dumbass.

THIS SEEMS LIKE AN EXCELLENT PLACE TO WATCH THE SUNSET

Ten minutes later, the sound of snoring emanates from the hood. So much for watching the sunset!

I love this damn sky mod.

“You’re having salad for dinner?”

WOULD YOU LIKE ONE?

“Ehh no, have you got any mice?”

Death tossed Quothe a piece of pepper, which the bird snapped up regardless.

NO.

“I don’t get a plate?”

I THOUGHT YOU DIDN’T WANT ANY

“Well I don’t, it’s just rude.”

Death wakes up, thinking about fishing.

Outside, Binky snatches bites off the trees and considers the stray cat that has wandered up onto the lawn.

Witch Hazel Chapter 6.5

Chapter Six

Part Five

Leonardo left work early the next afternoon. He left behind the stacks of paperwork the captain was griping he needed to finish, called his old partner Rogelio and took off into the afternoon. Despite how much he loved his family, the changes having a baby had brought into his life had left him with little downtime and he needed a few hours to himself with a friendly ear to confide in. A drink or two couldn’t hurt either.

Witch Hazel Chapter 6.4

Chapter Six

Part Four

“Karisme, how good to see you,” Alastar smiled as he took her hands into his and lifted them up. He kissed both of them, admiring the delicate grace of her fingers. Rosy with cold, the blush from his affections made her a little more pink than normal and he found it utterly adorable. “How have you been?”

“It is… becoming easier,” she smiled, feeling backwards and shy. He was a handsome rogue and even though her brother had warned her to stay away from him, she found herself drawn in by his charisma and the kindness he showed her. “I am adjusting a little to this world I find myself released into. I have… been able to….” she struggled to find the right words. Why did he have to give her such a warm smile? It made coherence so much more difficult! “Explore more,” she managed finally. “On foot at least.”

“What are you walking around looking so sexy for?” Dhimant growled as he walked into the bedroom. He’d started to lose control about halfway up the stairs, thinking about her naked and writhing beneath him. It showed, as he’d begun to change into his more feral shape.
Hara looked back at her husband and said, “Not for you, if that’s what you’re thinking. Go find one of your hussies to slake your lust.”
Dhimant let out a low pitched growl as he stalked near her, slipping his hands down her hips and pulling her close to him. “I think you’re no comparison to any other woman I’ve ever met.” He teased her nipple, smirking to himself as she moaned slightly. She might be mad at him but she couldn’t stay away from him either.
“If I was no comparison you wouldn’t need the other women,” she hit him in the thigh and he growled, grinding against her ass. His grip was almost bruising.
“Don’t question my needs,” he said. “Only I know those.”

Part Two

“Of course,” she said. “If you think of anything you need, don’t hesitate to ask. Dhimant, you know where to find me.”
“Thank you my dear,” he said as she turned to leave. “Please close the library door behind you.”
Hara nodded in acquiescence and left them to their tea. Dhimant did not begin speaking again until after he heard the library door click shut.

Witch Hazel Chapter 6.1

Chapter Six

Part One

Leonardo walked up the sidewalk in the chilly autumn evening. The sun had already set but it was still relatively early in the evening. Looking up at the large house in front of him, he pondered if he’d be received better if he came back tomorrow. He’d worked later than he’d anticipated but he still wanted to talk to the wealthy politician who lived here. Need to; he needed to talk to him. The questions that were weighing heavy on his mind were keeping him awake at night, causing him to look over his shoulder when he walked down the street.

Since the accident while they were moving, he had felt something off. It was there just out of the corner of his eye, lurking and waiting to pounce. He saw it in the way his packmates looked at him. He felt it in the undercurrents of every room he went into. Was he losing his mind, finally succumbing to the Colmillo curse? Was he simply cracking under pressure?

Leonardo wanted to get his life in order again and this was the first step. He refused to fall prey to the Colmillo curse. He was not going to let himself go mad. Gritting his teeth, he squared his shoulders and set his jaw, making the decision. Whether Dhimant Valome would welcome this conversation or not, it was a necessary inconvenience. Onward, then.

Witch Hazel Chapter 5.10

Witch Hazel

Chapter 5 part 10

“Care to tell me why you decided to get married?” Leonardo asked his brother, tone unnervingly calm. “To that awful Goth woman, of all people.”

“I like her,” Diego had tensed despite himself. “I’m allowed to get married if I want to.”

“Have you turned her?”

“No, you know that’s against the rules now. Berenguer would have my head off,” Diego said. “Lucky you met yours before he came up with that.”

“Do you want to turn her?” Leo pressed.

“Well… not really,” Diego admitted. “I think about what she’d be like as a wolf from time to time but it’s mostly terrifying so I put it out of mind again.”

“If you don’t want to turn her, how do you know she’s the right one? Your wolf would want her to be permanently his if she felt right,” Leonardo countered. He refused to be taken off topic by even one of Diego’s odd comments. “So I repeat myself, why did you get married?”
