“This thing is a hazard,” Diego made a face, balking at having to carry it down the steps.
“Just get a good grip and it won’t fall on your toes,” Leonardo said as patiently as possible. He was trying not to grind his teeth.
“But I might break a nail!” Diego held up his hands to indicate his lovely manicured nails. “And ruin the hard work of that lovely woman from the spa.”
“FOR THE LOVE OF GOD!” Benita burst out, throwing her hands up in the air. “Can ANYTHING get done without bickering and ridiculous excuses?! DIEGO FONTAINE DE COLMILLO PICK UP THE GODDAMN STOVE AND MOVE IT!”
“But–” Diego started again.
“MOVE IT!”
Leonardo chuckled as Diego meekly picked up the stove and helped his brother maneuver the behemoth out of the yard so it could be taken to the dump. His wife was adorable and sweet, but short tempered and just a little bit hot headed. It was funny seeing an ordinarily quiet woman lose her temper, as long as he wasn’t the target.
